The sound of one hand fapping
By all accounts he was a fantastic human being and family man. He might also be the most important commercial torceador of the past 50 years considering the importance of the Hemingway line, as well as his other innovative limited release Opus smokes. As a blender he was subtle, smooth, traditional in the best possible way. I recently had a Don Carlos No. 2 with some age on it. What a fantastic, sublime smoke that was.
It's no secret that I'm a Fuente whore so this is a black day for me indeed. I hope they can keep the magic going without his steady hand on the family tiller. Don Carlos, you will be missed, and you will most certainly never be forgotten. Godspeed
