Just ran accross this article. It seems that 4 days after Charley passed thought much of Havana is still without water and power.

I could not disagree more.

Cuba will have a hard time rebuillding for one reason - because the good ole USA refuses to sell goods and services to the Cuban people. Fidel does not suffer because of the embargo but the common people do.

I agree that the peopel suffer because of the embargo and not Fidel, however I think they would probably have these same problems either way. Is the US the only country that manufactures plumbing supplies? Does the US embargo effect the the supply of public utility workers in Havana? I bet Castro has water and electricity.
