I just started smoking it.

Holy crap what a smoke! It's basically a robusto, and it combines the great qualities of a Sungrown with Fuente's smooth taste and renowned contruction.

It's like a JR Ultimate Cabinet's older brother.

I absolutely love these. For consistent taste and construction, these are one of the best, IMO.

Thanks, Lumberg, I think I'll pull one from the humi this evening!

Glad to be of service.

Just checked the price on these (I think I was gifted/bombed this one cos I only had one in the humi) and WOW for $3.50 a pop that's a deal and a half!

Looks like the JR Ultimate Cabinet #40 is the closest JR Sungrown.

I'd like to smoke 2 back-to-back.

The JR is $70 for 25, the Fuente is $70 for 20.

I bet they are about equal in terms of a good deal.

These can be had for around $60 if you look hard enough.

These are definently a good buy. In fact, my first box purchase...and only so far! I initially bought the box to split with 2 friends, who only smoke when they are with me. I always give them free sticks, and I figured why not have them go in on a box, that way they can sample some finer smoke. Well, long story short...they forgot to pay me, and I just decided i was gonna keep the whole lot!!!

I have cigarsarge to thank for recommending this. I was contemplating going after the natural. I am proud to say that I think my humi will constantly house a chateau SG.

Got a box of the belicosos and I love them  ! These are a steal for what you get :D . Wonderful smooth flavor  .

I had just decided to buy a box of SG, and had narrowed it down to either the JR Ult, or a Fuente SG, when I found this review.

It is nice to see that both of them are pretty well liked, but I was wondering two thing.
A) which one is better overall
B) which one would be better sooner
I know the JR Ults dont need that much rest, but I was wondering how good the Fuente was fresh? I probably wont be able to let these sit longer than about 3 months, so the better ones fresh are pretty key.

Let the SG Chateau sit for a few days after the truck drops em off. They will be ready to smoke then. I've never really aged them long...Can't seem to let them be when I have them. :p

Sarge is nuts! I love the SG line, BUT I have to let them sit for atleast 6 months, or they taste terrible. Try both. :)

My local B&M just got in a couple boxes of the Double Chateau SG's. AT $5.50 plus tax, it's one hell of a smoke as well. Same great taste as the Chateau, just twice as much of it.

If anyone has a good source for a box of either of these great smokes, I would appreciate a PM.

Thanks.

IMO, I think the Doubles are better. I always pick up a few when I see them. Great price for a great cigar.
