Cigar Bid

Maybe it's just me, but I never found any real deals on Cbid. Maybe save a dollar or two, but for the most part having to wait 5 days to see if you get the cigars or not is not worth it for me. With all the good merchants out there, you can find really good prices on almost any cigar, with great shipping rates, and you get your cigars within a few days.

I liked it a lot, I mean A LOT, when I first started smoking the good stuff. You have to do your home work so you know what stuff is worth, and wait for the end so you can snipe, but I really liked the variety of new stuff I could pick up in the 5 packs. It was a great way to try a lot of stuff I had never tried before. Once I learned more about what my tastes were like I looked back and couldn't believe some of the crap I had picked up. Still at the time it was a good learning experience for me.

I picked up some good Hemingways at a pretty decent price, some Cohiba XV's pretty reasonable (was glad later it was only fivers of those), some good prices on Brazilias, and quite a few other things.

It's been a long time since I've bought anything from there now, but still, it's worth checking out I would say provided you exercise a little caution.

There quickie auctions can be a really good deal. Don't have to wait so long, and not as many people bidding them up on you because of the short time frame.

I am a cigarbid junkie. I check it out regularly. I typically buy cigars I know I will enjoy. I know what the cigars sell for elsewhere and snipe towards the end of the auction.

Sometimes I bid on something I never had before because the sales pitch got my attention. I only would buy a 5 pack of something I am not familiar with. If I get dog rockets I limit my exposure. Every so oftem I discover a gem that I wouldn't have tried otherwise.

No complaints here.

I still look for cigars there. I usually get the 5ers of cigars I like
The real well known cigars are the ones that get bid too high
I still get good prices often enough to keep me going back

Well, it should be down more often. If it keeps staying up, I'll have to go to marriage counseling with my wife.

Overpaid cardigan wearing prick: "Scott, you have a problem"

Me: "no I don't, I actually saved us money. $1,400 dollars is less than $1,401 and I saved us a buck!, so back off pal!"

The Boss: "Honey, you know I have to balance the check book and you have too many cigars already."

Overpaid cardigan wearing prick: "She's right Scott, you really need to consider the Boss's position on this one.

Me: "Okay dear, I'll solve the problem."

Overpaid cardigan wearing prick: "Scott-Glad to hear that you've agreed to solve the problem, I think we've made a break through here."

Me: "That's right, I'll get a new coolidor to house all the new cigars."
     :sign:
