Hey all I am Dave i have a few questions about cigar care and what not.
Ok so I have a question that I am looking to have help with. I had a tupperwear container the size of a big shoebox. It was clear and I was keeping my cigars in it for about 6 months or so. It was kept in a dark shelf in the kitchen. Not sure what the temp or RH was but I have 8 oz of Drymistat gel CI GEL for humidification at a set level of 70rh. Now I am worried my cigars were too moist or that the temp was too high there. They were kept there for 6 months or so but none of the cigars seemed ruined or look and feel like they were.
I just moved to a bigger to a bigger Tupperware container 2 weeks ago. Another clear one not sure if that matters.
The size of it I am not sure of but I could fit 4 shoeboxes in it..... I keep it in a Dark closet but the temp in there is between 58 to 68 I have been keeping the closet door open now to keep it at one temp around 70 with the rest of the house anyways the RH in there right now is at 68 but I just got a Hygrometer/Thermometer today and its reading 68 /68. I use to just feel my cigar to see if they felt right instead of using anything to tell me but anyways my question is.... I have some cigars that are moist like my Montecristo Buena Fortuna and some others that are more natural wrapper cigars. But my la Gloria cubana Wavell and other dark wrapper cigars are hard still and stay hard. I am using 8 oz of drymistat gel Ci GEL for humidification.
My question is if you have dry cigars and put them in proper 70 -70 can you bring them back?
And
If you have cigars that are to wet and you put them in 70 -70 can you bring them back as long as there is no mold and bugs?
And if they look all right and feel all right are they ok even if they were wet or dry at one point?
What is the highest temp and RH and the lowest temp RH you can go?
Ok I know about FORMING Coherent Sentences but I did not have time. I was in a rush. LOL THANKS
All good I don't mind joke is on me anyways back to the questions above thanks
