Cigar International Cigar of the Month Club?

Hey everyone,

I was curious if anyone is part of this club and what their experience is/has been. I'm tempted to join but have to see if they can do USPS (our elevator is out for 2 months and the courier companies won't come up to the 7th floor; plus I tend to be on the road a bit so USPS would be better if they have to hold a package for me).

Anyways, thoughts/rants/raves/etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I think it was the CI one that I did. It's been a while, so I forget, but it was from one of the bigger catalogs...CI might be the only ones that do it. I got it as a Christmas gift.

The first month was good. Probably more than what was paid for the membership. The second month was .. meh. Maybe right around the cost of membership. The third month was bad. Definitely under the cost. It was a 3 month subscription I got, and my wife asked if she should renew it. I told her thanks, but no thanks.

My advice - take the money you'd spend on the COTM, and save it up for a box, or keep an eye out in BST for samplers on sale, or maybe even call up one of the great vendors we have on the board here. Tell them what you like to smoke, that you'd like to try some new things, and how much you have to spend. I'm sure they can help you out. And if you haven't done it yet, the Newbie sampler / trade down in BST, too.
