Cigar Oasis II XL or XL Plus?

I'm looking at these for a 12.5 cf cabinet humidor, and am not sure if the XL Plus can handle that size. Does anybody have one installed in a similarly sized humidor? I plan on using the beads I currently have to act as a buffer / backup to the CO, but do not want to have to rely on them to keep my humi at the appropriate RH... The CO website says the II XL has a remote display, but can anyone confirm the display can be mounted externally (i.e. doesn't have humidity sensor in display) for my piece of mind?

XL Plus Benefits
Smaller size
$40 Cheaper once I buy a hygrometer to mount externally

II XL Benefits
Remote display and controls
Definitely big enough to keep RH
More accurate?

As I type it seems like I'm answering my own question, but if the XL Plus will handle the size of my humi (yes it's tightly sealed and I don't open it all the time) I think the smaller size will outweigh the drawbacks. I'd appreciate the feedback of anyone who has an XL Plus in a similarly sized cabinet. Thanks in advance.

Forget it, I guess I need to go big or go home. Now it's either the Avallo or CMT...

I have a large cabinet coming in, and I ordered the II XL. From what I have read, other's who have used this device have been happy with it. I know that Avallo is one of the best humidifiers around.

After thinking about it a while, I decided I'm better off with one of the Avallo or CMT (CMT are the units Aristocrat sells) units since my humidor will more than double in size when I finally get my big cabinet built. I figured I'll just spend the extra $100 now to ensure the cigar collection worth considerably more than that remains properly humidified... The customer service the above offer over Cigar Oasis is another big bonus

The Cigar oasis XL Plus is only recommeded for up to 10 cubic feet, so the Cigar Oasis XL II would be the right humidifier for that size humidor. You can use the Choosing a Cigar Oasis chart at CigarExtras http://www.cigarextras.com/index.asp?PageA...Custom&ID=5 which has details about the units capacity and functions.

Quit spamming. While a nice offer, it is better suited to a posting in the "Hot Deals" section where retailers frequently post their offers. You don't need to shill in every post you make...
