Soft tendrils of smoke, a lazy serpent.
Tenderly it writhes, yielding softly to
a warm summer breeze, we see it repent.
It leaves a gentle scent and tints of blue.

Cracked lips slowly part as teeth firmly clamp
down unyielding, a stalwart symphony.
The pulsing amber glow soothes, a tired lamp
shimmers steadily, a febrile journey.

Cultivated earth fermented with time;
delivers brazen luxury to which
tastebuds dance. Moments of solace, once primed,
open velvet drapes, serving to enrich.

A sultry stillness permeates the soul,
Now I can sense I am back in control.

Post your own sonnet/poem if you are the artistic type. Spanish poetry must first be translated into fluent English before publishing, to provide ease of understanding and enjoyment for the majority of forum members.

Thankyou.

Onya Mac'er. That's ripper prose. Now try and work the words "Nantucket" and "orange" into your next one. I'll be waiting.
