Is it really such a foreign concept?

If you're in someone's home and you decide to let yourself out close the damn door when you leave. Especially if you know damn well they have a pet. Even if it's just to go out to your truck to grab a tool you forgot, and you're only going out for 45 seconds. That's plenty long enough, as you probably noticed, to let my dog out and waste the rest of my afternoon.

I'll tell you what, take the amount per hour that you're charging me for labor, and reduce my final amount by however many hours it takes me to catch my dog. Trust me, you're getting a break instead of using my own hourly rate.

ps - hey bambam, you can go f*** yourself too, we hate spammers here, and although it says you joined in October, your post is nothing more than spam trying to direct us to a website laden with God knows what spyware and viruses.

OK, rant off. Perhaps I should go smoke some of that doobie I found in the attic and chill out...

Don't mean to be a pill but courtesy demands that you have your dog restrained when construction personnel are in your home. Just playing devil's advocate here, not slamming anyone.

Wow....first off, I'm not a spammer. I am a member of a couple other forums that have this game posted on them. We, meaning the other forum members, have really enjoyed it to the point of posting everyone's "Brute" so we could fight each other. No spamming was intended.

As for my first post, I am an established member of the other two forums and just don't make it here that often.

As for your above reaction...if that is the flavor here, then it will be my last post and last visit. Although I'm sure you are not the best ambassador for this site.

I have never received any type of personal attack like that towards me on any forum other than this one. Frankly it's upsetting. I cannot believe that the way you are acting is representative of this place.

I'm not really sure how the two things fit together but the "My Brute" thing was posted earlier by Sockmonkey. ;)

That thread is the exact same game as mine. Not sure how that one was well received...and mine turned into a personal attack on me.

Perhaps it wasn't received well because if you had actually spent any time on this forum you would have realized your first post should always be an introduction. Secondly this game has been discussed all day today and if you had looked at all you would have realized there was no need to post a thread about it. However, while you may not realize it, you are a spammer because you simply want people to join through your brute, thereby helping you. So please feel free to take your ball and go home.

Just posted this in another thread but wanna make sure it's seen. This is not how I wanna be viewed guys.
You know what....after taking all this in and thinking about what I just did....

You have my apologies. Truly

I became a member of this forum after my old one which I loved, sure you can guess which one that is, became nothing more than a commercial site.

I joined here looking for a new home. In the meantime the mods from my old home created a new forum....which has become my new home.

I don't wanna cause waves here. The more I look at this post, the more I realize that what I posted was spam. For that I apologize.

Gonz..I just posted in one of your other threads how you attacked me. In hind sight, I don't blame you, I have acted the same way in my other forums towards what I felt endangered home. So I hope you can let this one go and not hold a grudge, I won't.

I really don't wanna quit this forum as it seems like a really great resource and I hate to just lose all the knowledge on here. I do have multiple forums, and may not post on all of them, but I won't post anything like this anymore unless I am giving as well as taking.

I guess all I can do is apologize to the members and hope that I can get off on a new foot. Intro coming.

No offense taken. In this case, the plaster repair guy in question had actually told me to go ahead and not restrain my dog, because it's not a problem and he has a dog as well.

And bambam, pm returned.

It has gotten to the point where I'm afraid to have anyone over because it seems that "closing the door" is a lost art. Granted, my door is a bit heavier than others, so it is harder to close, but people just pull it shut a little bit so it looks like it's closed but when a pet tries to get out it is very easy. I have just decided I'd rather restrain the pets no matter what then worry about finding them once they get out.

+1

Further, perhaps I was just raised this way, but I NEVER exit someones home without shutting the door completely, no matter what the reason. Maybe they're fanatical about the energy bill and don't want to 'heat/cool the outside'. Either way, common courtesy.

How long did it take you to get your Dog back Andy? If it was my Husky I would still be out looking for her until she decided to come home.

It would be nice if even my friends would learn how to close the door behind them. Souldog left every single door open and all the lights on when he last visited!!!
??? :p ;) ??? :p

This is why my girls hang out with me in the front room/smoking lounge all the time. when I leave (the large sun room) I close the screen behind me. Plus if I don't the wreak havoc in the house and jump into the tub, dig into the laundry and just generally get into things puppies shouldn't.

Hope you got your dog back quickly Andy.

I always found that restraining the people and letting the pets run free works best in my house.....

Yeah, I'm with you then. He tells you to let the dog loose then leaves the door open. Not cool! My father smacked the shite out'a me when I left the door open at home. The habit of closing doors where ever I am has stayed with me. I always felt that to leave a door open was bad form.

Ohhh... and don't forget to pull your pants up and tuck in your shirt if you'll be bending over! This ain't no CRACK HOUSE!

You are obviously scarred for life and the only thing that makes it worth remembering is that, thanks to political correctness  . you were able to call the cops on your dad and he is still in jail right? ;)
