I have been smoking the regular connies for a while but just noticed JR also has another line of them called the Consuegra D.R.. I did a search but couldnt find any mention of them here. I am ordering a bundle now, but I figured I would check to see if anyone here had tried them.

No, I haven't heard about them. But they sound interesting so let us know how it turns out.

Inquiring minds want to know! ;)

That was my choice as well. It was time to refill my stock of #9 maduro, so I chose the robustom maduros as well. Thanks Qualls

I know Fuscat purchased a bundle, and has smoked at least one -- I am pretty sure he liked it. You might PM him for further info. He gave me one in a little "hand held bomb" but I haven't smoked it YET!!

I've had 3 of them so far. I got the Figurados. Construction is fantastic! Burn is top notch. Smell & taste good, but very green still. They definitely need to rest. Well worth the price tho, can't wait to revisit in a few months!

My favorite thing about the connie #9 is that most of the ones I ordered seemed decently aged (for a $1) cigar. I have little patience, I want cigars and I want them ready now! :sign: .

You ain't bad for a danged Aggie!

#30 are becoming a staple as well. Have you noticed that some #9 arrive in a slightly yellow cello? Also, I'm finding that a high percentage of the niners are plugged.

I have had a few that were a little tight, but I have gone through 3+ bundles without a plugged stick. I may have bad luck everywhere else, but I seem to do alright with cigars :D .

Last bundle I ordered was pretty yellow, smoked one before I even took them inside.

My Connie DR's came in the mail today, and I was so excited to see cheap cigars I fired one up on the spot.

It was shipped practically dripping wet in typical JR fashion, but it lit after a little coaxing. While it definately needed some time to rest, it did have a pretty good flavor. Not nearly as much flavor as the original connies, but still good. It seemed a little lighter, but smoother and creamier. Although I have a hard time classifying any cigar as "creamy", I just see it in descriptions a lot.

I still prefer the original connies, but the DRs are a nice change of pace.

I have 4 bundles of coronas 1 maduro, 1 ems, and 2 nats. smoked about 4 of the mads and a couple of EMS's. Can't tell the difference between the mads and the EMS in appearence or taste. There a little green and a little to mild for my taste. Good cigar for work when my mind is on work and I still want a smoke. If toyr a new smoker they're a good cigar for the money.

If you want to know what creamy tastes like smoke a CAO Gold!
