Custom Blends

I am interested in the idea of custom blending my own tobacco. I am a little too new to pipe smoking to have much of an idea of what might taste well together. I was wondering if you guys have come up with any concoctions you really enjoy. Are there any common mixtures that a lot of people do? I imagine it could be a lot of fun experimenting.
