My finance guy was asking me about a humidor. Of course there's Avallo and Vigalent, but tbh I'm not familiar with who is making a decent desktop. Any thoughts...??

Quality Importers is probably the largest manufacturer of humidors. I've owned many, and only had an issue with one, which was a large cabinet with a bad seal. They immediately picked it up via FedEX and shipped a new one right away. I've had good luck with their products.

These are my two desktop humidors. Also have a larger chest type. I’ve been very pleased with all three and no issues, knock on wood, to date.

I think I have one at home that I don't use anymore that used to be in my office.

I will take a look when I get home tonight. If he's interested in a "used" one, I could box it up and send it his way. I would just ask that he pay the shipping fees.

The Cigar Authority market for the Diamond Crowns and Davidoff Desktops. The DCs are probably decent. Davidoff, I'm guessing your paying for the Davidoff name and just getting the Chinese humidor with it slapped on it. My opinion of course; with never even seeing on in person. But it falls in line with the brand.

I've had a Diamond Crown Jamestown desktop working perfectly for almost 30 years but they aren't made by Reed & Barton anymore. I think if I were to buy another desktop today, I'd buy the Boveda Humidor. Reviews say it's built extremely well and it's really nice looking. The only con I've seen is that they are pricey for a 50 count humidor.
