Did he really chew the band and all?

I knew he liked his cigars. But chewing the band and all is just gross. 500$ bid is just plain hilarious. Are you going to put that in a display case or something?

Looks like it was a Fuente, but yeh, I've never seen something so disgusting done to a cigar. It looks like a dog got a hold of it or something. I've always thought Clinton was an ok guy, but...gross.

I say it is BS. First of all Clinton NEVER would light his cigars. He did chew them, but for 8 years we found cigar after cigar and never one that looked like that. Unless his brother-in-law was in town. Plus that was not his brand. ISOM only.

Now thats just plain wrong.

Double Standard .... actually, I think you could still make trips to Cuba legally during his presidency and were allowed to keep a couple on your return trip. So even w/o diplomatic immunity I think he could pull this off.

Still, I hope this whole embargo thingy goes away soon. I'd like to visit Cuba. I was looking at a cruise in the Carribean and it struck me as funny how the travel path goes completely around Cuba, stopping at several different ports, pretending like it wasn't even there. Someday ...

But I would take Dennis' word over some guy on Ebay ... even if he had a 100% rating.

Actually, the embargo effectively makes it illegal for an American citizen to do anything to help the Cuban economy (this includes purchasing or smoking ISOMs anywhere in the world!)

Clinton never bought a damm thing. He was gifted just about everything. This guy has more friends that Rod,Moki and Smokyballs put together that would gift him cigars. He used to walk down the halls with bags full of ISOM and hand them out to the staff. That is how I used to get them. But no more  All I no is that in the 8 years that he was around I never once saw or heard of him lighting a cigar. He would chew the hell out of them. That cigar could have been from someone that was with him. But I am 95% sure it wasn't his because of the fact it was burned.

Also if you look at the pictures. Look at the one of Clintons golf bag. Notice that the Presidential Seal is not straight. It kinda is turned to the left a bit and off center. That would NOT be okay for a President. Everything with the Pres. Seal has to be prefect or it would never make it to the President.

And who in there right mind would pay $500 for a chewed up cigar even if Clinton his self would give it to them? This is just my opinion. Take it for what it is worth.

Bush passed legislation in 2004 that tightened the travel restrictions to Cuba, which put an end to what little travel was previously allowed. It is my understanding that at that time you could still bring back a limited number of items. So in theory, you could leagally own some cigars from Cuba made in 2004 or earlier.

Today, that's a whole different ball of wax.
