different tastes

hey whats up everyone! newbie here. been smoking for about 7 months now and still cant really point out the differnt tastes of any cigar. i just go by if i like it or not. so the best i smoked was a VSG robusto because it made my mouth water on every puff. any techniques on how to point out differnt tastes?

Ditto all the above. And if you're really into it, you can take notes on what you think you taste in each cigar. Then after you've had it, try and compare it to someone else's review (preferably one who is experienced) to see if you found the same tastes.
