Hmmmm, that's only 16.50 a bottle :) a bargain!

I am sure that after Uncle Sam and Kathleen Sebelius tack their fees on it will be closer to full retail though.

Would be kind of cool...

Now where did I lay that extra $5000???

I know there must be a reason I need to do this...now, to figure it out, and then convince myself.

Does this mean you'll be serving more than water at your next party?

:sign:

To everyone BUT YOU! Or, you can drink whatever you want, but you're getting a dried out havanah honey from my ex-wife's humi. (damn straight I took it!)

Only 6 bottles a year with this? I've already knocked off three bottles THIS YEAR (one was vodka, and one was Cognac...but the point remains). And the year is 17 days old.

I've been enjoying Hine lately. The Triomphe (that was just finished) goes WONDERFULLY with a light to medium cigar, and you can spend significant time and enjoyable energy picking up the nuances and letting them play together. Careful selection is required so as to not smoke a nice cigar that is overpowered by the drink or vice versa. I found most of the ERDM line agreeable. http://www.missionliquor.com/Store/Qstore/...ne+Cognac+750ml

The more "basic" Hine, which I still have most of a bottle of, I found was better sitting in front of a fire. If smoking, something that does not command or demand much attention, and is more forthright and easy is a nice addition.

Damn. Now I'm thirsty. I think I'll head home a little early and pour myself a cocktail.

Nothing wrong with a little Remy!
For the price of two bottles, give the basic Hine a try sometime...it really is quite tasty. Or, next time you're around CT, stop by, I love sharing booze (as I go to make sure my addy is off my profile!!!)

AVB--sorry for the terrible threadjack, TYFNS, shoot me a PM if you wanna chat more about this. Or, start up a new Cognac thread!

OK, I'll help. Have the Gordon Macphail bottlings of Macallan lived up to the hype?
I am considering one of the 37y/o. They're not cheap, but I've heard so much good....but I never know who to believe when it comes to high end hooch. I need to join scotchpass.com.

Nah, can you imagine the shipping in a blind 5'er!

What are you looking at the 1967 Speymalt? The 1973 can be had fairly cheaply.....under $200 anyway.

Yup, the 67. Best price I found was around 450.
Have you had the 73? I have not. I wish there was some silly high-end scotch bar near me where I could go sample these lovelies.

I can do much better then $450. PM to follow.
