Fucking Pandas
Second in the Monster series is The Drac. As with the Frank, I'm starting with the 2021 Mash before reviewing the 2024 Smash.
1/3: Cocoa right of the bat. Cinnamon spice starts building up while the cocoa stays prominent and a cedar note enters as we reach the end of the 1st third.
2/3: The cinnamon spice dominates the middle third and the cedar turns to a smoky oak note.
3/3: The spice is gone and the smoke now resembles that of a campfire as you stand down wind. There is no real discernable flavor, its just keeping the bugs away at this point.
Final Thoughts: The first half was really good but the second half seemed to be focused on just burning and making smoke. It also required a fair amount of touch ups which was disappointing. It could be due to the humidity we are having but nevertheless, it was a bit of a bummer. The world moves on and so, off to the 2024 Smash.
