I have a couple and have never smoked one. I don't want to smoke a "Nico-Killer" before dinner or smoke something mild after a big steak.

Anyone out there who can help with some info??

K Hansotia is the company that produces Gurkha cigars... My experience is that they are on the med/full side of things and they are pretty strong... The first time I ever smoked one was on an empty stomach and let me say that it was not a good idea... got a huge nic buzz and couldn't stop spinning for quite some time... If you have a Gurkha Symphony, I would suggest starting with that... its a bit milder. Overall they are a pretty good cigar, but make sure you have something to eat before you smoke one... :) If it doesn't have the Gurkha band its Kaizad's blends...

I've had a couple and have enjoyed them. I haven't found them to be power houses but then again, I do smoke cigars.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Yes, I do have a couple of Symphonies and have smoked a couple. Fine smokes but as you say, a little milder. Those I'll save for something better than on the golf course if you know what I mean!! I did enjoy all Ghurka products (all made by Hansotia, I know) but definately not in my top 5 brands.

I found it very interesting there is almost no info about them anywhere I could find, even on the Ghurka web site.

East India was a lower end stick that was made a few years ago. IMO they weren't that good. It seems that they are being reintroduced now but if they have improved I can't say

Well, I smoked this one after a round of golf today (at least, I tried).

Lit nicely, draw was perfect. Preddraw taste was different, but nice and I can't describe it except to say it was "pungent".

Pleasure kind of stopped there.

Not much smoke, a little on the mild side and about 1" into the smoke, it got super hot all of a sudden. Felt heat on the wrapper about 3/4" up past the burn point like it was tunneling. Cut it off about that point, and it was hollow & scorched about 1/4" past that, so I cut it again, purged it and relit. 1/2" later, same shit.

I tossed it into the pond in front of the 1st tee. Fish food.

I try not to judge a smoke on just one experience (good or bad) but this one was possibly an exception to the rule.
