Cigar: El Triunfador Lancero (7.5 x 38)

Cost: I can't remember. I bought the box last month.

Drink: Coca-Cola (the best cola)

Appearance: This has a dark and toothy Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper on it. There were a couple veins showing. I really like the simple look of the cigar. The appearance gets a 10/10 .

Taste of the cigar: The first half was tastes of cocoa and some woodsy flavors. The second half is what I really enjoyed. I picked up cocoa, chocolate, nutty flavors, and a little bit of vanilla. There were also a couple spots where it reminded me of a Habana.

Construction: Held an average ash for a lancero. The draw was just a touch on the tight side, but I didn't mind at all. The cigar required only a few small touchups.

Strength: This was a medium bodied cigar.

Summary: This cigar was very, very good. Pete Johnson/Don Pepin Garcia have another winner on their hands. I am glad I picked up a box. I give it a 9/10.

I've got one of these resting in the humi (Thanks Brandon!) that I'll probably be lighting up here in the coming weeks. With this review (and the many others I've seen) I am pretty excited about this smoke.

Thanks for the review.
I just bought a 5er and cant wait to try one.
I'm sure hope I'll enjoy it as much as you did, nice ashtray btw.

I couldnt wait anymore, after reading so many good reviews on this cigar I just ordered a box and cant wait to get em'.

Love love love the El triunfador. First whole box I have ever bought

Thabks for the review.

John

Nice review. I just had my first one of these this past weekend and I loved it. I couldn't believe how white the ash was and how perfect it burned. No touch-ups or anything. The draw was spot on and it produced tons of smoke.

This cigar just went on my need to purchase list.

I strongly suggestion this stick to any Johnson/Pepin fan. I was blown away the first time I had one of these, glad I have a couple left in the humi.
