Greeting from a newbie,
I put in a search for Esteban Carreras and nothing came up, so I thought it would be ok to begin a topic on these cigars.

I was at my local shop and there was a tasting happening there and I was introduced to Esteban Carreras 5150 and as a newbie both here and my cigar experience I have to say that I enjoyed this smoke a lot. I even purchased a few and placed them in my humidor at home. I wanted to get your thoughts about this cigar. I want to compare my tastes with some of you "FOGS" and see if I'm enjoying middle of the road stuff or garbage. I have only smoked a handful of brands/makers so I'd like to compare my pallet to yours if you smoked one of these.

Thanks in advance :)
Tony

I haven't smoked them. I remember trying the other lines a few years back. They did not impress me. What matters is that you liked them.

Never, ever, give any though about what you like compared to others except for trying to see why folks are gravitating to a particular smoke (curiosity or experience).
If you love a cigar that is 1 buck, more power to you because that is the Holy Grail.

Whopper, thanks for the link :D
Very informative for sure. Too bad they weren't of the 5150 though.

I didn't realize that the others (Esteban Carreras)were out there. I knew they were a smallish company located in southern CA near the coast. Perhaps their product got better with the likes of their newer releases, meaning the 5150 and then there's another, I think it's the 187? Anyhow thanks again for the links, learning everyday! :D
I'm almost very nervous to try and attempt a review of my 5150 ??? Maybe if I get enough courage, I will try and post a review in the proper thread, (I know the hazing will begin when it's posted, that's fine  )
Thanks again for the info Whopper and MadMonk! I will heed your advice and if I like a 2 buck stick, then I like a 2 buck stick and it's ok. ;)
But what if I start to like the 20+ dollar stick!?!? :0 Oh my...my wife might get angry if I spend that kind of coin.

Once again, thank you.
