Even burn becoming very uneven

I have noticed something that is kind of odd. I store my cigars at 70%RH so I don't think it's a factor though I don't know enough to rule it out.

My lighting process is that I take a butane lighter, hold it under the foot so that the foot doesn't actually touch the flame and start rotating until I get a red ring of burn. This results in a super even burn pattern where the ring is a perfect cirle as it burns toward the head leaving a nice straight ash. The problem occurs when the ash is long enough that it falls off the cigar; then the burn starts to take on a weird pattern where about 75% of the cigar circumference is burning but one part of the wrapper is not burning at all. The cigar continues burning but the ash takes on a curve away from the unburned wrapper. Is there anything causing this? This doesn't happen with every cigar, it just seems kinda random, but when I do notice it I try to fix it buy using the lighter to partly burn away the leftover wrapper.

(If this is a really awful description I'll try and post a picture).

I've noticed that some cigars like Anejo's, Opus X, Torano's, and some others need to be kept a little dryer than most ISOM cigars. Most ISOM's are a little better with a consistant 70% RH (IMHO).

I find most smokes tend to get a little uneven at times, I tend to rotate the uneven sides to the bottom while I smoke. The side of the bottom has more air, which allows it to burn faster. Kinda a newb answer here if anyone else has more info…
