I got to drive 3 1/2 hours home from the ocean with 5 kids in my van because I had a vcr/tv and a massive tape collection. Dropped the other 3 snotmonsters to their parents and got a crapload of Glaubers Fine Chocolates and a cookout the kids put together. Then a RyJ EL had to burn away.

anybody ?

Bargogirl went way out of her way to make this Fathers Day as nice as possible. She's really trying to understand my cigars and enjoy them with me (though, I don't expect her to ever take them up for herself). And I 'suspect' she was working with a local brother CP'er to get some gift ideas.

She showed up at the office Friday evening with a Forbidden X gift set. As far as I'm concerned she could have stopped there and I'd have been more than happy.

Saturday afternoon, the Princess walks up with her hands behind her back and says "Daddy, close your eyes!" I close my eyes and she yells "TADA, Open yours eyes Daddy!" I open my eyes and her hands are still behind her back (she's 4). "Pick a hand" she says, and after a bit of 'eenie meenie minie moe, catch a Hannah by the toe' out comes a Cusano 18 Robusto.

Sunday morning I get 'bombed' by Bargogirl with nice selection of preemies and super preemies. I smoked the Cusano with the Princess then threw some dead cow on the grill while Bargogirl made homemade peach cobbler. :D

My kiddos made me a wonderful Father's Day card (they ae 3&4) and gave me a set of Homer Simpson Father's Day pajamas. They picked it out themselves, and of course I really love it!

My sis gave me a bag of clothes from Old Navy ( though I have told her countless times not to spend money on me she just can't stop being the best sister ever!!!).

This weekend was also our family reunion, so I sat around the pool with my favorite uncle and we had some good smokes (me a Sherpa Mystic, thanks to Tommy, and he a Padron 3000 maddie) while we watched the kids swim.

And to top it all off I came home to find a pkg from cbid waiting for me and 2 confirmations for auctions that I just won! :D

It really was a great weekend and I hope everyone elses was just as good. :)

I got a hand made card from my step-daughter. She's 16 years old, her mother and I have been together for 8 years and this is my first card from her.

I know it doesn't like much, but it was great.

Our relationship hasn't been too great in the past and she had been giving her mother and I some sleepless night.

We had to place her in Teen Challenge, a girls home for problem teenagers, last December. It is a Christian based program that is state accredited for schooling. She now lives 2 hours away and it is a 15 month program. She has placed God back into her life and really turned her life around.

So I had a pretty darn good Father's Day.

Oh yea, bought myself a new grill also.

I don't think you could hope for a better gift. I'm very happy for you.

No kids yet but last Saturday I took my father and my future father-in-law out to the Cabela's super store for a little shopping spree and I hooked up my brother-in-law with a Padron 1926 maddie.

I got 3 metal stackable Craftsman tool box from my almost 5 year old step-son.

i don't have any kids, but my sister and i bought my dad an ipod. he doesn't smoke cigars unless he's puffing on mine when we play golf, which we did on sunday. i had a R&J reserva real porto real and he puffed on it a lot more than when i'm smoking an edge or panza dbl mad. he smoked about half of it and wouldn't give it back. i think i got him hooked this time.

My daughters got me the British Version of War of the Worlds and the Stripes DVD.

I also got a Cleveland Indians hat.

The best thing about Father's day is my three girls. Without them I would not be celebrating.

QFT....my boys are now 18 and 16. The fun we have is different now than it was when they were "little guys" but time spent together is still really precious. Seems we all just keep getting busier and busier.....

My two showed up about 0900 on Sunday and after a La Luna LHB, we headed out to a local gun show where my two presented me with a home made card that had a receipt for our yearly dues at the local indoor pistol range. Cool..!! We bought a bunch of ammo at a great price and had a nice steak lunch. After which, I finished up with a tremendous Bolivar Corona Gigante, with an 01 box code on my deck at home, with a Wild Turkey straight up as a chaser.

A great end to a great day......

The very "Best Regards" to the other Dad's out there in the group - B.B.S.

My wife Skrgrl74 got a sampler pack from thompson that was awsome and my 5 year old took me to see batman the begining then I got to smoke a double corona hoya de moy Nice fathers day :D

Seeing as how our first won't be here 'til October, I wasn't expecting anything, b/c technically I'm not a father yet. But the wife got me a Cigar Aficianado subscription anyway.

Nothing! But we (my wife and I) see Father's day and Mother's day as hallmark holidays, that aren't really celebrating any specific historical event, so we just don't do anything for them. Maybe an excuse to go out to dinner or something. And my two year old has no idea about holidays yet anyways.

Of course the cigar shop up in the cities did get Opus X's in, so I bought my daily limit up there.

Fathers/Mothers day is historic if you have kids. Makes you realize what life is about. I have a 5 year old step-son and I think Fathers day is great. Not b/c of the recognition, but b/c what it stands for. Makes me think how I will feel once I have one of my own.

Hey, that's what KiltedCraftsman's wife got for him.

For me, I got a new Tarheels hat (the old one was gettin' kinda grimey) and a new coffee grinder.

And don't forget the fun we had at Joe's Crab shack in San Fran with the entire family (my brother is a father of 2). Jeez dress them up but you can't take them out!!!
