this was in todays paper USPS sucks....
 
I coulda told you that... that's why I usually get the free priority boxes, build them up inside-out, sharpie out the priority stuff, and pay for normal mail :)

Well, duh they are sending it like 20 miles away....of course first class would get there in the same amount of time....One would be an idiot to pay priority to ship something within the same city or even state....
 
So they expected letters going across town to arrive on different dates? I can send a letter from this end of MN to the other and it arrives next day. Priority is the same.

If I send the same letter to my parents in IN, Priority gets there 2 days sooner.

I agree.
It sounds to me like the newspaper was short on some decent stories and had to come up with something to fill empty space..

For me 1st class to my kids in S. Fla is 7-10 days and with Priority its always 3 days. I'll take Priority any day.
