Hi,

Any of you New Yorkers (or anyone else) been to the Friends Lake Inn in the Adirondacks? I'm taking my wife there for her birthday. Its supposed to be a very nice place to relax and enjoy some great food and wine. :)

Never been there bro, but you can never go wrong with going to the Adirondacks..... Always beeautiful up there. Have a good time

Where in the Adirondacks is it? I went to school up near there and still know people that live all over the area; Lake Placid, Lake George, Schroon Lake, Saranac Lake; I'm sure I could find somebody who's heard of it.

Well, we just returned from Friend's Lake Inn, and I've got to tell you, it was sublime! The restaurant has more awards than you can imagine. The wine cellar (I had the owner give my wife and I a tour) has over 22,000 bottles of wine!! The wine list is 89 pages long! And we stayed in a room that was a dead ringer for one of the old "great camp" style rooms from years gone by. It was not a cheap stay, but well worth the cost. Oh, and the "couples massage" in our room was icing on the cake! We even had a private porch overlooking a beautiful pond where I could enjoy a couple of wonderful smokes!

If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it!

Its located about 22 miles from Lake George.

Pete
