i know i'm opening myself up for ridicule
as most people hate my team, but i am
very proud of the tough win they got
today. it's the exact kind of game they would
surely lose the prior 6+ years. a gritty, tough
inthe trenches war. they used to get beat in the
final 2 min of these when they would let up and
the other team would drive down the field and
score to steal the win. but not anymore. it's the
same personnel so it must be the coach. hell
i don't care what it is. i was so sick of losing
after all these years. i celebrated with a cuesta-
rey centenario centro fino sun grown(are these
the best sub $5 gars in the world or what?)
anyways, scorn me if you must, but i am proud
of my 'boys. now it's on to foxboro. will we win?
i don't know. the pats are very good and it's a
stadium that's hard to take a win from, but at least
i know they'll all give 100%.

o.k. let the beatings begin. i know you guys are gonna
let me have it now. maybe it'll be less savage since
the 'skins won today. congrats to the skins fans.

No beatings from me, I like them also, I just don't watch much pro ball thease days.

A little history for those that wish to read a story.

As a child we moved around a lot because of my fathers job as an inspector on goverment water projects. As a result we lived in a lot of little towns all around the west with professional teams near by very seldom. The Cowboys were always on though and I watched them all the time. Randy White with his gut hanging out of his bloody jearsey is one of my favorite players of all time. I was pissed in a major way the whole season they quite doing the stand up thing when they set for offense. I loved these guys.

My fathers favorite team on the other hand was anyone who was playing the Cowboys. He hated them and we used to argue all the time. I used to get so mad when he was laughing at them loosing. Nothing major or long lasting over it but very trying at the least. And it didn't end there. I ended up in the principles office once for fighting after they lost to the Steelers in the Superbowl. Even when I was older I took a lot of ribbing. Those loosing seasons with Danny White were hell and I wont even go into Aikmens first season at 1 and 15.

Imagine how cool it was to still be a fan when Aikmen, Smith, Irvin, and others started winning Superbowls all the time. I took a lot of ribbing from the guys on my highschool team durring that 1 and 15 season so I had no problems pointing out to my buddies how good they had gotten.

They seem to be doing much better again so with all they've been through, if you've stuck with them LD then you have every right to be proud of them now.

unlike most people in d/fw area, i'm not a fare weather fan.
i was a fan from 1976 until the present. through superbowls
and 1-15 seasons. i expected to go 2-14 this year. that was
my prediction. you can imagine my delite at being wrong.
the road gets tough now though. the pats at foxboro...damn!
and carolina is on fire. oh well, they already exceeded my
expectations. who knows, i might even get to buy a NFC
championship shirt and hat for the first time in 7 years!
and you know what they say"any given team". we'll see
when it all shakes out. last time they were 7-2, we won the
bowl, even though barry switzer was our coach.
"WE DIT IT OUR WAY BABY! WE DID IT, WE DID IT, WE DID IT!"
oh god  whatta idiot!

These wins are getting fuglier and fuglier, but a win's a win. It'll be nice to be in the playoffs again. In what seems like a weak NFC this year, it'll be a crapshoot. It may well come down to an ugly game. Hopefully, we're the ugly game experts. :)
