I've been toying with the idea of buying some GOF robustos but I'm a bit confused. I've seen prices that range between $189 and $250. Some of the places with the cheaper prices aren't listed on the GOF website (shown here) as authorized dealers. Could these be imitations? Also, I've noticed the 2005 GOF came in individual coffins. Did they stop this practice for the 2007's?

Edited to fix the link

I've never heard of counterfeits, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. The regular boxes of 10 robustos usually go for about 190 or so. The churchills 230 or so. Anything more than that is too much to pay for the regular boxes of 10.

I believe that as authorized dealers they have to sell them at MSRP
Order them staight from GOF site IMO

I think I can answer a couple of your questions.
1. Coffins. This year they come in boxes wrapped in cello with an additional selection in tubos.
2. Prices. While there is no requirement for selling at MSRP, you will see some different prices due to state tobacco taxes. Prometheous is the company who distributes the GOF, DCA and Opus 22 set (I'm not sure you can't get the DCA from Fuente). My advice it to purchase it at the cheapest rate you can find. There are limited supplies so if you don't move now you will end up spending more as supplies dwindle.
