Maryland Legislative Update!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit testimony!
The Senate Finance Committee failed to pass Senate Bill 332 (bill baning smoking in tobacco stores) but the House Health and Budget Committee has yet to vote on House Bill 428. We have word from several delegates on that committee and our lobbyist that we have that one beat as well.
On Senate Bill 555 (the 45%tax increase), after yesterday's Senate committee hearing, many felt positive that they will not approve it, but nothing is guaranteed. They have not voted on the bill yet.
Hopefully will know something on HB428 and SB555 by the end of next week.
We will keep you posted.
