Good news, bad news

Hey Joe I looked at the site. There is a couple of clubs near me. I will talk to the chief next week when I see him and find out if there is anything we can do in our area. I am glad our union contract is as strong as it is. I won't loose any money for the 1st 6 months after that then if I am still out I would have to go on disability. But I doubt that will be the case. My next docs appt. is next monday, I saw the x-ray and it was a clean mid-shaft break, luckily. The real downside now is the damn cast. You have no idea how hard it is to do the most basic things like put on a shirt. The cast goes from my shoulder to my wrist. At least it is coming up to summer so I don't have to worry about long sleave shirts. Now the part that I find really distressing is trying to light a cigar. LOL. I can't bring my left hand up to hold the lighter. So I have to do it with only one hand.

Thanks to God you are still with us, albeit beat up pretty good. Glad to hear you saved the victim and that you will be well soon, sore as hell though! I wish all the best in a speedy recovery and a quick road back to doing what it sounds like you do very well. God bless and take care.

Hang in there buddy. Let me know how it comes out, as far as the club goes. In our area, you may have been entitled to $2,000. Any little bit helps. I love the organization. We have about 1400 members, but want to be as big as Houston, which has over 11,000.

What an incredible story! I am glad to hear that you only came out with a borken arm. You guys do some unbelievable work. I hope the owner is on her way to recovering. I know all of you would walk through burning doors and walls because that just what you do without ever a second thought. You guys are heroes in my book
