Folks,

I'm visiting New York City next week for a conference at the Marriott Marquis on 1535 Broadway. I and several colleagues would like to smoke a few 'gars while we're there, and I was hoping folks here could suggest some places where we can sit back, have a few drinks and smoke cigars.

Have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Steve

Nat Sherman
Club Macanudo
The Velvet Lounge
Cigar Inn
Merchants
etc,etc,etc....

For a quicky, therre is always De La Concha on 6th Avenue and 58th Street. If you ask for the house blend, it is a Pepin Garcia blend made for them. It is a small place but a nice stop if you are in the area and want to smoke indoors. Enjoy.

If you want to make a trip, go to the Barclay Rex on 51st and Lexington It has a lounge and a wide selection of premium cigars at fair prices. If the weather is good, I would usually smoke outside, natural ventilation and I love to spread the smell of a cigar. Merchant's imo is the most comfortable smoking spot in the city, however its cigar bar doesn't open until 6:00pm.

I recently spent a few nights there and found Club Macanudo to be good spot. $10 membership cost is applied to dinner/bar bill, nice stick selection, and reasonable prices.

It made a bad situation good, the client that I went there to see turned out to be the biggest dip-shit I ever worked for.

Edited for spelling.............

Of all the places that our NYC BOTLs have shown me, my favorite has to be Merchant's.

Been a while since I was in the big apple but there was a bar/restaurant with a cigar bar attatched on the upper west (I think) side. It was called the Mustang Grill or something to that effect. Not sure if its still there but I had the best stuffed pork chop I've ever had and then just walked through the doorway to the cigar bar and capped off the night with a nice cigar and martini. G1
