Yesterday there was a someone named emartin in my profile, which is no big deal. In a casual conversation with another CPer he mentioned the same thing so I got a little curious. I jumped around to about a dozen random profiles and emartin had been in all but one of them. He was in my profile April 18 and was in other people's profiles the 18th through yesterday. This morning I checked my email account and I had an unsolicited email from Habanos and Hermanos. After doing a little research I found out emartin has posted nothing but sales for Habanos and Hermanos. I'm not sure if Rod has a specific policy for this sort of thing, but this pisses me off quite frankly. If I want to respond to one of your sales threads, I'll do it. If I don't show interest, then going into my profile and mining information to send me unsolicited spam emails is a bullshit move and one I don't think the membership of CP should be subjected to. I'll report this to Rod as well but I just wanted to make people aware of this and also to explain why I was in so many profiles the last day or so.

Thanks for reporting this. I have banned emartin. While no policy exists, it's evident what this guy is up to. I'm not about to create a new rule, however I will be sure to ban anyone who I suspect is mining info.
