Got word that my aunt passed away yesterday morning, but the doctors aren't sure what she died from. She woke up Friday with flu like symptoms, just not feeling very good, then by the next day she was feeling much worse, like the flu had gone into full swing. By the third day, she decided to go to the doctor, which gave her some type of med. Upon taking the med, her body went into convulsions, and her heart stopped. They got her revived and stabilized, and moved her to another hospital with a specialist for disease control, which gave her a different med. Upon taking that med, the same thing occured, except this time her kidneys failed. They got her heart going again, and put her on machines to keep her alive, but they couldn't get her BP above 50/38.
The night of the third day, one of the doctors thought he new what it was, but needed to boost her BP to regular levels for her body to process the med's he was going to give her, so another specialist got her BP up to 80/50, but she then started bleeding from her mouth, nose, eyes, ears, everywhere, but her body was taking the med's. The doctors said that if she survives the night, she has a 50/50 chance of surviving. She passed away in the early morning of the fourth day.
They aren't sure what actually killed her. They have thought it has been a handfull of different things, but nothing is definate. She caught it, and was dead by the fourth day, though.
She had no children, was in her early 40's, and leaves a husband. I'm not one to speak well of people simply because they have passed away, but she was actually one of the nicest women I've ever met. Always in a good mood, always saying funny things and I never saw her without a smile on her face.
She will be missed.
