To be clear: I was NOT the pilot on these runs...I was the enlisted (non-Officer) guy who was far from home.
 
I am NOT a pilot...I'd love to be, and I have many hours of actual stick time in the girls, but...I'm an Intel guy.
 
I pick and weaponeer the targets. How and what weapon to use...etc.
 
Pilots then (mostly Captains and Majors) are all either Fullbirds or retired now.
 
I commissioned, made rank, moved up and have been away many times. Now I'm the Major.
 
And Doc, Sir, I work my ass off.
