A friend gave me a box of Cohíba Espléndidos that he got in Florida.
There's a stamp on the bottom of the box a never seen before have you seen one.

The stamp says.

YENDIDO ENCUBA
FOR CUBANACAN
HABANOS SA

The box code is

EOG
CCUA

Is it 'Vendido en Cuba'? That would be 'Sold in Cuba'.

Cubanacan is a tourist firm. Perhaps a stamp the tourism company puts on boxes you buy from/through them?

To be certain you should bring the Espléndidos on Saturday. :sneaky: :p

Okay, here's my guess at the box code:
"EOG"=Miguel Fernandez Roig formerly La Corona factory in the city of Havana as opposed to a provincial factory. I don't know this for sure but this is a factory code from a list I have.
The date "CCUA' has me fooled a little bit but I think it's from that strange era in 1999 where there was a lot on confusion with box codes. I think "UA" is April and the "CC" is 99 so my guess is this box is April of 1999.

Can anyone else out there give a better analysis of the box code?

Thnks CC your right with the box code.

It's the other stamp i'm don't know about.

YENDIDO ENCUBA
FOR CUBANACAN
HABANOS SA
