Sometimes I think that the apocolypse would be more favorable than following this....

I see Brett having more returns than Macy's during Christmas. He'll be playing for 30 teams in the next 20 years.

They say it has to do with money now but who knows? I almost think its just him messing with everyone in the media...just cause he can. Lame though.

I am surprised no media outlets (at least that I have seen) have taken up the idea that it is a vikings media ploy. Reignite the fires of Favre and boom! Instant sales.

When my father was in his final years, Packers football was one of the few things we had in common and could enjoy together without the usual religious arguments . . . and I'll always thank Favre for those times, for the sheer joy of watching him lead the Pack to a Superbowl victory.

Since then, though, he's just gotten . . . embarrassing. What an effin' prima donna.

Ya know, what would you do if you were Brett? Give up the money, attention, competition and the game you love, plus trying to stay young for another season, for what, sit at home and watch football and let your injuries catch up to you?

I don't blame the guy, but I don't agree with the prima-donna and media BS. If he sits out/retires, he is out of the game forever.

Internalize this a bit and answer the question, what would you do?

As a listener on the sports talk radio show in Milwaukee said, "I'll believe Favre is actually done when I hear... 'time of death 6:17 am'"

It's his life. I have to wonder how many parents tell their children to live their dreams, and then criticize him trying to live his, in front of them?

That's funny, but we are the hostages!:D

Like most of you, I am tired of Brett Favre's offseason charades. Unlike most of you, I'm really happy that he is back for a 20th season.

I definately think it wasn't just Favre this time. I was the Vikings trying to sell tickets! I am very happy that he is back again, it was a make or break decision for the Vikings. If he didn't come back, their season would have been done. I can't wait until the season starts

Yea, I have no qualms about the guy playing or not. If you want to play and fans and players are both saying do it, then do it. Just don't waver back and forth to build up the suspense until the last possible moment, arrive by private jet to participate in a practice you should have just been at in the first place.

It really bums me out he is acting the way he is, or at least letting it appear he is acting the way he is. Maybe the ankle was the issue, maybe it wasn't. Maybe the vikings told him to drama it up to throw off other teams or to sell more tickets. Maybe because of the drama they sold more tickets and the extra money he got was payment for that. Really, the only one that knows is him.

I will still wear my Farve jersey to fantasy drafts this year though, pretty much cause its the only jersey I own lol. I still remember when I got it, my buddy got tickets to the lions/packers game at the silverdome and asked if I wanted to go, because he knew I was a big farve fan. The day before I went out and bought the away jersey and brought it with me. I didn't put it on till we got out of the car and my buddy was like " You can't wear THAT into the dome...you will get killed!" lol. I wore it in anyways and at one point he thought we were going to have to be escorted out of there at the end of the game, but aside from a little bitching back and forth between some people, we didn't have any trouble. Some crazy days back in the old silverdome though.

There weren't many tickets to sell. 94% retention on season tickets from 2009 season. There were only a few single game seats available for the regular season anyway....now merchandise is a different story.
