Just read this man's story and i have to share. Ken Hendricks is a self made man, working along side with his dad he dropped out of high school to start his own roofing contracting business, after working a few years he got frustrated with multiple suppliers from around the country and started his own national supply chain in 1982. ABC supply celebrated it's 25th anniversary with 6000 employees and annual sales of $3.5 billion. His own wealth is estimated by Forbes Magazine at over $3 billion and is rated the 91st richest person in the USA. He passed away in a bizarre accident by falling through the roof of his own company while checking on the new work being done. He was a hands on type of guy and never forgot his roots, his wealth never fazed him, and stayed the same man, and never let the money change him. At a company meeting with with all his managers he ask who started on the loading dock or working on roofs and over half the men stood up. A tip of the hat to an American hero and great guy, i bet he would been a great guy to herf with. RIP!

Wow, what an ironic and tragic death. I love hearing about guys (and girls for that matter) who get fed up with the status quo and start their own company. What a great country!!
