I wish they would open a location in the Houston area. With gas near 4 bucks a gallon I'm not willing to drive to Dallas for a double double.

Oh...you can't be an In-N-Out Double Double Animal Style...it's just not possible. I know a lot of guys who tout 5 Guys, but I don't think they come close. I don't know about the taste front, but I have friends who have told me that I need to check out the Heart Attack Grill. Any BOTLs here ever been to one?
 
I haven't been to the Heart Attack Grill yet but I thought 5 Guys was pretty damn good. In-N-Out is good but nothing that special in my opinion...I thought Fat Burger was much better last time we went to Vegas.

Fatburger is okay. A little pricey and their burgers are bland, IMO. Actually, their chili is bland too. Personally, I'd rather go to Carney's (http://www.carneytrain.com/) or Tommy's (http://www.originaltommys.com/)


5 Guys is quite good, however it's a tad pricey and there are so few of them out here (I only know of one within 20 miles). Their portion size is much larger than In N Out, though.
 
Keep it up. I've been on my diet for 10 days and I've dropped 12 lbs. I am living vicariously through this thread! Someone please post a milkshake to go with the burgers...:)

Did you get the fried egg with your Fatburger?

There's some spots in LA with 5 Guys, will need to check it out since you recommend it.
