Holiday specials?

Since I started frequently smoking cigars about 7 months ago I have heard a lot of general talk about the great releases and specials that come up around the holidays. Since I wasn't really smoking aroung Christmas and Thanksgiving last year I am really pretty unsure what to expect. More specifically, I want to know how much sense it makes to delay purchases now to have more money next month since I have a pretty inflexible budget right now. Is there a lot of group buying that goes on, general price cuts or just a higher availability of harder to find smokes?

The biggest releases that everyone looks for are the Anejo and Opus X shipments...but then those are hit or miss. But a lot of manufacturers have new releases around then as well...it's the holiday buying craze they believe will bring them the big bucks and leave us pennyless.
