The misses and I just booked a room for June 23-24 ( hockey awards at the Palms  ) does anybody have any good or bad experiences they would like to share while they stayed there?

Edit to add: Las Vegas

Although we didn't stay there, couple of us guys went and gave it a full 5 hrs of gambling. The tables were cold and the machines were only lukewarm. I still get offers for free rooms but when you compare the strip hotels like those combining their pool of hotels like the Harrah's corporation or the MGM corporation, it's hard to only pour your money into 1 hotel.

Sorry, I can't help you with how the rooms look or how well the service is. Are you getting a rental car because the Palms is on the other side of the strip.

Just some logistics to think about.

Tables are extremely cold there x2! But at least they have dancers dancing on top of the blackjack table to keep you entertained while you empty out your pockets.

Thanks for the info Dave, we are not much of gamblers. We are bascially going just so the wiff can get a chance to see some of her hotties at the palms. We are only a 3 hour drive away so we will be taking our own car. Hooters had a deal that if you book at least two nights you would get $100 gaming and then join the hoot club and get another $100ea so we will be playing with that. Also included were 2 show tickets, 2 drinks and snacks at the pool area and 10 free wings each. We are on a very limited budget so we got the Tower King room ( smoking of course  ) for $44 including tax.

Sounds like you got all the big ticket items comped already, with all those initial offers and you don't have to pay for airfare and car rental you are already saving!

Enjoy your stay and let us know how it goes!
