Now that the cold weather is upon us, I am thinking of moving my cigars (two cooledors and 3 desktop humis) out of the basement in to my closet much to what my wife's anticipated chagrin. :0

The basement gets to about 45to 50 F during the winter months. I'd like to hear whether this is too low or can be seen as a de-bugger ;)

Should I be more swayed by the humi level rather than the temp? Or both?

Let me know all you sages out there. TIA!

Those temps should be fine.
It just slows the aging process a little.

As long it does not go below freezing you're ok.

Junkman speaks the truth. Just be sure to keep a vigilant eye on your RH as it tends to drop in the frigid temps.

It all depends on your altitude!

Just kidding, I don't think it will be a problem.
