This may be a stupid thread to start but I never found the proper way to smoke a cigar. I am new to it so I just did what came natural. I usually plug off air to my nose and throat (to prevent inhaling) and then just keep the smoke in my mouth for a few seconds and release it. The problem I have noticed doing this is without letting air go through your nose the sense of taste lessens dramatically. What do you guys do? Any tips/suggestions? Thanks

I always exhale through my nose. I don't think you can properly evaluate a cigar without doing so.

To enjoy a cigar you should not inhale the smoke. The true pleasure is to be found in appreciating the composition of tobacco flavours and these are best detected on the palate by your sense of taste. Relax with your cigar, and mull over its flavours. Do not try smoking a cigar that has half gone out, as it will only offer a disappointing mixture of hot air and thin smoke.

Found it on some webbie. Hop it helps.
