Humidifier and/ or beads

Hi.. Should I have either the beads or humidifier in the humi at the same time or should i just put the beads in and take out the humidifier?
 
I'm barely keepin' up with ya... the beads should substitute for the humidifier as the beads actively absorb and de-absorb (sp?) moisture.

So, just the beads.
