Does anyone know of any good places where you have a smoke outdoors in the Philly area or even Delaware? I know today might be difficult but need to plan for future beautiful days.

Thanks!

Outdoors? Anywhere!

In Philly I go to Holts, buy a few smokes then go to
Mahogany cigar bar, literally upstairs. If it's nice
weather I walk around Center City, or walk a couple
blocks west to Rittenhouse Sq., a park. There is a
bench outside Twin Shoppe cigar store in So. Philly.
Been there once. A nice neighborhood b&m. Not too
far from Pat's or Geno's cheese steaks.

In Delaware, you can smoke on the balcony at the Deer
Park Tavern in Newark, on the outdoor patio at Hooters
on Kirkwood Hwy., or anywhere outdoors, AFAIK.

In So. Jersey you can smoke on the outdoor deck at Dante's
Restaurant/Bar in Barrington. There's a thread on the
CigarBid.com boards about Dante's. Dante's may sell its
liquor license, and we don't know how long it will stay
in business afterwards.

A place called Old Havana Cigar Co. on Rt. 202 south of
West Chester(Philly suburbs, west) has a lounge. It would
be nice to buy a few smokes b4 using the lounge. They have
a website.

There are lots of places to smoke, but they are disappearing.

I smoke on the golf course all of the time.

I'm sure you can find a spot in Fairmount Park(Philly) to smoke, too.
I smoked on Independence Mall, think Liberty Bell, during a Tea
Party event last year. No problem. You can go down to Penn's
Landing and watch the boats on the river, too. The Zoo is non-
smoking, IIRC. You could probably smoke on the Franklin Parkway,
outside the Art Museum, main Library, or Franklin Institute.
Some nice fountains on Eakins Oval there.

Like I said, anywhere outside is generally OK. The Phillies' ballpark
has designated smoking areas, I think. The parking lots are OK.

I see you're in Upper Darby.
I don't know that particular area very well.

Someone will know.

Also, try the Twin Shoppe at 10th and Tasker. This shop is much smaller than Holt's but has a great selection and usually a bit below MSRP. I like to support smaller establishments when all else is about equal. Plus the crowd smoking there is more working class like me. :D

I used to live in Center City and didn't own a car for almost five years. I really liked the lifestyle in CC, Philly. From Upper Darby. I always liked to head into town on Chestnut because the lights and traffic flowed nicely.

Someone usually gets a herf at Mahogs together round about this time of year. ;)

Valley Forge is a nice park for a smoke, too.
Lots of trails, parking areas, etc.

Rittenhouse Square, Valley Forge and Fairmount Park, bring back a lot of old memories. There was also a park across from the Naval Hospital, which is no longer there, on Patterson Ave. I forget its name but that's where the Police dept. stables were for Rizzo's horses.

Doc.

That park is still there, and so are the horses.
FDR Park.

The Eagles have a practice facility across the street,
next to the Navy Hospital.
