Hello fellow BOTL and SOTL. I just wanted to say, in my inebriated state fully of carefree thoughts, that I think this community is fantastic! I have witnessed so much generosity and compassion here in the last couple of months that I have constantly been amazed. You guys look out for each other, share a laugh and discuss the finer points on a continually shunned pastime. It makes me very happy that I found this board, and it's lovely members, as it has restored my faith that there are still some gentleman left in this increasingly selfish world.

It concerns me also, that smokers are increasingly vilified with the encouragement of various governmental bodies. From what I have seen, (cigar) smokers are a friendly bunch of people that always give time to a person in need. We need MORE smokers in the world if that is the case, not less.



Anyway... thanks for putting up with my (hic) ramblings guys... I don't even know how I managed to type this all out without some sort of computer short-circuit caused by my split martinis.

We're only nice to each other because we know our numbers are dwindling, so we can't afford to scare anyone off. :sign:

I have to agree with the rest of your post, though. The true brotherhood that is expressed on these web pages is what attracted me and is what keeps me on this board. If any BOTL is ever stuck on the side of the road within 100 miles of my house, I'll drive out to go spend some time and a smoke with them.

Amen. Absolutely agree with everything said, and I'm completely sober - for now.

And ironically, Sean was the first person to welcome me to CP back in December. I've never forgotten that. :thumbs:
