Idea for a newbie pass

Hey all you newbies out there.  Tired of seeing all those big-money smokes go by in a pass?  Are you sick & tired of not being able to take anything, 'cause it's just "too good"?

Well fear not, my brothers (and sisters)...  between one and two years ago, I was a HUGE Cigarbid junkie.  I mean I was seriously addicted.  If there was a cheap 5-pack to be bought, I did it.  If there had been a meeting, I would have been the first one standing up saying, "Hi, my name's Dave, and I'm a cigarbid junkie".  

So anyway, here's how it works for you.....  

I have a lot - and I mean tons of cheapo smokes. If I paid more then $1 each - I wasn't paying attention.  Nothing toooo dog-rocketish.  Certainly some are better then others, but none are just dog-gone-nasty-smokes.  Some are even in my normal rotation (love them cheapo Vargas' )

So here's my plan.  I'm thinking about starting a pass where everyone involved gets a pre-bagged package of smokes from my overflow.  I don't know exactly how many would be included - but without actually going to check, I'd estimate 4-6 different smokes, with multiples of most, if not all.  Anyone interested, would take a bag, and replace it with a few more "respectable" smokes.  There will be a "Just for Dave" box, however the bulk of the smokes would go into the normal "box" for everyone to choose from, but obviously taking one from the "good" box would entail better and more puts as well.

What are your thoughts?  Suggestion?  Criticizm?

I like the idea. I still consider myself a newb, so I'd be interested in this type of pass. I do have some good smokes, but I also have those Thompson's heheh.. If the pass come over by me, there'd be some decent smokes to add to the special 'Dave o' Rama' box... I've got some nice Creme De' Jamaica's fo ya :p :p :p :p

But it's a nice variation to the BW's pass that could not be.

Famous Smoke sells this brand of ceegars that are by the name, and they're pretty crappy ;p

:D definitely interested, but with going out of town for wedding and honeymoon i wouldn't be able to participate until mid july. but a great idea!

The only reason I specified newbs for this pass is because of what people may consider to be below average smokes.

Nothing against newbies, but I believe "they" would appreciate the smokes more then some of the vets around here.

So will my Macanudo's work here? If not, I still want in but I will go buy some new ones. I want to participate, but I don't want to muck it up, so I may ask a lot of questions.
 
Ummmm, not to be blunt... but "no".

I don't care what your shop guy told you, once cigars pass a certain degree of dryness, they're never the same. I would assume, since the boxes have been laying around for god-knows-how-long, that they were LONG past that point.

I'd love to have you in the pass, but I'd also love for you to buy some fresher smokes for it. Good enough?

Remember, the reason for this pass is for me to get rid of some lower-end smokes, not take them back in! LOL

Patrick, that kind of sucks that you were dealt some lousy smokes, I'd find a new smoke shack :p (unless you bought them and let them sit out too long, then maybe we should sacrifice one to the smoke gods and toss them in a large CP bonfire hehe)

Hope this pass happens, I've got something for the 'Dave Box o' good stuff', and I'm not just talkin a picture of me *wiggling eyebrows* oooo baby.
