I'm taking my wife's family to the Disneyland for a couple of days next week. There are 10 of us and damn are tickets expensive. Anyone know of any good discounts?

You might sit in on a timeshare thing or two. They give tickets, cash etc for the opportunity to bore you to death with thier sales pitches.

When we went last year we got $200 cash and discounts on tickets.

Hi, Strayvector! Happy New Year! I understand that Disneyland tickets are rarely discounted, and yes, a visit to Disneyland can be somewhat expensive. Please visit http://disneyland.disney.go.com. Click on "TICKETS & RESERVATIONS". This site can give you some good information about Disneyland special offers and discounts. Enjoy your trip! Regards, knightlaird

I second gandolf's advice... If your will to sit and listen for a few hours in the morning you can get some free tickets and usually a free breakfast too. I did this once and it wasn't so bad.

Disneyland or Disneyworld?? Have no idea about Disneyland, but you can pick up discounted tickets for Disneyworld all over Orlando. Ron(d) lives near Disneyland, send him a note.

If you have a california drivers license you get a discount

I did the smae thing when I was down there.

Unless you know someone who works at Disneyland, it's going to be expensive. When you do find tickets at a discounted rate, it's only 10-15% off retail. Bring lots of cash, because food and drinks are expensive. It's like $5 for a coke in a can.

Check out the Disneyland forums at: http://www.disboards.com/index.php?

Maybe you can find some cheap tickets there.

You aint kidding it's exspensive!! Try and rent a car too while you are there if you plan on going to a park not owned by disney (Seaworld/Universal) because there are no free shuttles to take you there from the hotel. One day of cab rides is more exspensive then renting a car for the week.
