I've had a 100 count humi for a little over a year and have always had a bit of problem keeping the rh where I want it to be. It seems like I was having to replenish my beads about twice a week. About 3 weeks ago I decided to run a strip of weather-stripping around the top and bottom contact edges and BINGO! I used the thinnist stripping I could find at Home Depot and it works perfectly. It took a couple of weeks for the impression to set in but now everything peachy! I do have to use the lid lock to ensure the top stays sealed and in place but.... One happy camper.

:)

Where did you purchase said humidor, and what brand/model is it?

I have a humidor that holds approximately 40 sticks, which I purchased from Bargain Humidors. I had the same problem (humidity fluctuating and dropping suddenly). I personally found that having the humidor at least half full (or empty :p) and not opening it daily helps stabilize the humidity.

The humidor was a gift.

I agree with you about being half full (empty). I've never had it full to the brim so I couldn't comment on that. But as of now it's working perfectly.

Not quite as good as when the engine starts after I've been working on it. However, I just love it when a plan comes together.
