It already feels like 105 degrees and it is only 10:30 am. Not the best time to smoke a full bodied cigar but it is summer- watcha gonna do?
1/3: Cacao and a hint of Cayenne pepper. The Cayenne pepper morphs into black pepper and then some wood notes join in as we reach the end of the first third.
2/3: Toasted wheat with white pepper spice. Towards the end of the middle third, the white pepper gets a bit sweeter, almost like cinnamon.
3/3: The cinnamon and cayenne pepper take the lead in flavor though the toasted wheat is still there, lingering in the background.
Final thoughts: Not a great cigar to smoke in this heat. Ten degrees cooler would have made this more enjoyable but I can tell that it is a stout cigar and one that would be complimented by a whiskey cocktail nicely.
