Celebration

Toro - 6 X 50

I took advantage of the beautiful weekend by revisiting an old friend: JdN Celebration. This is a cigar I have enjoyed in the past, so I felt it would be a good idea to spark one up. I will say that this is not my favorite cigar in the JdN line. I am quite partial to the Antano with its bold Nicaraguan flavor. The Celebration is a nice change of pace in that it doesnt pack the punch the Antano delivers. This particular stick had been resting in the humidor for about 6 months. You can pick one of these up for roughly $5.00 a stick.

As you can see this cigar had a beautiful wrapper and was loaded with tobacco.

I punched the head and set fire to the foot.

The flavor on these are pretty consistent from beginning to end. At first you're met with good flavor hinting at whats to come.

After the first third the cigar settles in to whats to be expected throughout the smoke; smooth Nicaraguan smoke of the medium body variety. This cigar will never overpower you. Smooth sailing from beginning to end.

This particular cigar wasnt the best Id ever had. Around the halfway mark the flavors went a bit stale, but good enough to keep smoking.

The cigar was pretty consistent from beginning to end which is what I have come to enjoy from the Celebration. In my opinion this cigar doesnt hold a candle to the Antano, but is always an enjoyed change of pace.

Nice review! I enjoy the Antano line tremendously and recently purchased a box of lanceros which are smoking nicely. I've been wanting to try the Celebracion line for a while now.

Well done.

The pictures look fantastic. I can never hold the cigar steady in my hand to take close ups. Always blurry.

I just bought a box of the Consul size 4.5 x 50. Not bad smoke for $2.
