Anyone ever check out the 1am deals on jrcigar.com? Checked it out last fri night and they had a box of JR Alt's (Premium Alts) for $50 (reg $75). Didn't seem to be that great of a deal. Anyone ever seen some REAL deals there?
 
I check the site alot just because I can't sleep at night when I get home from work. Not much really catches my attention. Now when I visited the store in NC they had deals everywhere. Alot of things I never saw on the net either. I remember Hoyo bundles for like 55$.
 
Even their 12 days of Xmas sale was pretty lame this year. I vaguely remember a good deal or two last year though.
 
I thought I was going to see something other than JR Alts. That was pretty disappointing.
 
I got a decent price on Mayorga Gordito cigars on their 12 days, otherwise they stunk. I have checked the 1 am sale quite a few times.

For the most part they have been selling undesireables. A common theme seems to be long skinny cigars (7 x 40 or similar). If you like cigars in odd sizes you could probably get ahold of some blooming sticks.

I have only seen one of the madness sales I was tempted to order, but didn't.

Remember when we used to have a huge thread, and a 1 AM monitor and stuff?

I got some good stuff in the 12 days sale of 13 months ago, havent' really checked it since.
 
Actually that was the JR Ultimate Double Corona that was the special, Rod. The Ultimates are entirely a different animal from the Alts. All the Ultimates come the Villazon factory(Punch, Hoyo, etc.). My first order to JR was for a box of the double corona Ultimate many years ago. Very tasty and I think I still have a couple buried in a humidor somewhere. :thumbs:
