Been making some jerky for quite awhile in the dehydrator. The commercial mixes are too salty and all taste the same regardless of "flavor" so I decided to set off on my own.

I have a dehydrator recipe book but decide to search the isles of the local Wal-mart for my next concoction.

Being fond of Jack Links Teriyaki jerky, the wife and I voted to go for a teriyaki marinade. I figure screw the "cure" and just keep the sticks in the freezer/fridge till utilized.

I recommend whole heartedly the use of 'Veri Veri Teriyaki" marinade which is found in the oriental section. This stuff kicks ass. Forget the jerky going bad. It won't last that long

Mix two pounds of ground turkey & 1/3 bottle marinade overnight, extrude into sticks and dehydrate for maybe 6 hours and prepare yourself for some great sticks
