Just got this for my new game room..Is the price to good to be true? I looked all over the internet and found nothing but great reviews for this vendor and LCD. For those of you looking for a New TV this is a great deal!!
For those of you guys who know more about TVs than I do I am a little nervous because it was so cheap. Anybody first hand experience with the brand?

Here is a link..46" LCD for $799 including shipping...

Specs look great i think it was a deserving buy. Only thing that may be off is color quality, less expensive TV's are know to be off of 'true color' which unless your really trying to get colors on screen to be as accurate as there where taken (will always be off a few shades) it wont matter to you.

What i do stress doing is googling the product number and finding a forum with settings listed. I forget the forums but theirs at least 2 where people put imaging devices up to the screen and find the best TV settings to get the best color and image. I highly recommend this, i almost returned my 32 inch samsung ($700) last year cause the picture looked lame, but after tweaking the settings it was like a whole new tv and I don't regret a dollar spent on it.

x2 on avsforum. It's a great site full of tech geeks who know their stuff! :D

Newegg is a very reputable online vendor so no worries there.

Newegg is a great vendor that has gotten a bunch of my money. The Sceptre brand is better known for their computer monitors but the resolution of LCD monitors has always been near HDTV levels or better. If Newegg sells it they will back it up so enjoy.

Hey, theres nothing anyone can tell you that will make a difference, its already on your wall, and hopefully you love it!!

Make sure the settings are perfect, and if you haven't already, DON'T spend big money on 'Monster' HDMI cables. HDMI cables carry a digital signal that is not prone to distortion from outside influences. The cheap $5 ones on eBay will deliver the EXACT same picture that the $100 ones from Best Buy will.

Congratulations!!

Before I make almost any purchase, I always make sure to research the brand and product on the Internet. I find that specific-interest forums are the pinnacle of information technology, and are very helpful in making well-informed buys.

But that looks like a great buy and hopefully you'll enjoy it. :)
